Privacy notice

Local-first, not offline-only

Project files and renders stay on your device. Features you enable can send limited requests directly to the provider you selected.

Who is responsible

Data controller/vendor: Not configured, Not configured. Governing jurisdiction: Not configured.

What remains local

Topics saved in projects, scripts, downloaded media, voice tracks, thumbnails, analytics exports and final renders stay on your device unless you choose a cloud-backed feature or publish/export them. ReelForge does not run a custom account/password service.

Direct provider processing

When enabled, prompts, search terms, source URLs, selected media or publishing metadata may go directly to the provider: Google Gemini or another configured LLM, Pexels/Pixabay/Unsplash, Wikipedia, image/voice providers, YouTube and Google OAuth. Each provider applies its own privacy terms. Minimize personal or confidential data in prompts.

Credentials and license checks

API key material, lifetime/maintenance license keys and OAuth refresh tokens are stored locally using Windows DPAPI for the signed-in Windows user. License activation/validation sends the license key and instance data directly to the checkout provider. Google OAuth sends authorization data to Google. No local protection can make a compromised Windows account safe.

Website and checkout

The static website may use privacy-friendly aggregate hosting analytics only when explicitly configured. Hosted checkout, customer portal and payment processing occur on the checkout provider's domain; ReelForge never receives full card numbers.

Diagnostics

A diagnostic bundle is created only after consent and preview. It must redact API keys, license keys, OAuth tokens, email addresses and unrelated file paths. Review the bundle before sharing; do not attach project media unless support specifically requests it.
